Filipino band Rise High launched their official music video for their single, Tinig, last October 24 at their event at 12 Monkeys Music Hall & Pub in Pasig. It was also livestreamed on Facebook. Other Filipino artists also performed on stage, where Fred Engay and Ordinaryo kicked off the event. After their time on stage, Rise High officially launched the music video, which was well received by both online and offline audiences. The ‘Tinig’ music video was directed by Edil Luyon who is also the guitarist of the band. Also present during the launch is Filipino internet personality and ‘Asian Cutie’ Albert Nicolas who is featured in the music video. Rise High followed the music video reveal with a string of performance, starting with an OPM Medley featuring songs such as ‘Naaalala Ka’ (Rey Valera), ‘Maging Sino Ka Man’ (Rey Valera), and ‘Umagang Kay Ganda’ (Ray-an Fuentes and Tillie Moreno), before moving on to perform their original song ‘Di Na Bale.’ The band took the time to thank the people who supported them and also the ones who attended the event even though the weather was not that great. Another notable highlight from the night is singer Jeffrey Hidalgo joining them on stage to sing another one of their compositions, entitled ‘Muli.’ During their other OPM Medley on their set, Albert Nicolas joined in the fun and sang along with the band. Some of the audience also chimed in and sang along. The night ended with performances from bands JOANA and Pinkmen. Rise High is composed of six members–Edil Luyon on vocals and guitar, Lura Angeles-Luyon also on vocals, Philippe Arriola on bass, Obet Luzon on the keyboards, Joseph Rivera on drums, and Dave Erin on guitar–who love making music that venture into different genres, such as pop rock and jazz.   Other POP! stories you might like: Troye Sivan responds to backlash over lack of body diversity in ‘Rush’ music video Filipino content creators put on blast for ‘illegally’ eating endangered giant clams Rising OPM band Rise High launches new music, ‘Tinig ng Pag-Ibig’   Subscribe to our daily newsletter [forminator_form id="331316"]
